Over the last few weeks we've been showcasing our favourite modern-day surf teams through the medium of free to watch online films. So far, we've featured Vissla's excellent Pedro's Bay and Globe's electrifying Cult Of Freedom (hit the links to watch now).
For today's offering, we've got a romp through the Indonesian wilderness with some of Deus' most stylish ambassadors...
With its Bali HQ established by master lensman Dustin Humphrey, it was no surprise when Deus began churning out artfully made clips of the various happenings at their Temple Of Enthusiasm. Longer form films, featuring their lose crew of talented surfers and moto riders soon followed, with the 2014 flick ‘I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night’ constituting their most ambitious project up to that point.

The movie follows the simplistic travels of two surfers meeting friends along the way, on an open-ended journey across an archipelago littered with islands and breaks. Connected by ribbons of tarmac and separated by deep ocean valleys. A veritable Eden for waves of every nature, from long reeling glassy point breaks to sketchy urchin infested reefs in the middle of nowhere.
While Harrison Roach and Bryce Young form focal point, the film features a wide array of supremely stylish surfers, including Aussie ex-pats Jared Mell and Matt Cuddihy alongside Indonesian surfers including Husni Ridhwan and Deni Pirdaus.
You can find more of Deus’ excellent surf films, plus tales from the road trips that made them, in a recent feature we did with the brand’s director of photography, Andre Cricket.
